About Me
Beginning to dabble with HTML in the 1990's, I have been studying various aspects of web design ever since. While the coding side of things will always be my first, I have in recent years expanded my skillset to include graphic design, information architecture, and SEO through classes at Washtenaw Community College and have recently completed my Associates Degree and can now call myself an official "Internet Professional" (whatever that means).
When not in class, I continue learning through self-study, currently focusing on game development with Flash and ActionScript 3, the basics of the Python programming language, and PHP-based database utilization. And, yes, I still maintain a long-running site about Power Rangers.
I am currently interested in taking on small to medium-sized freelance projects as well as joining pre-established teams to work on larger undertakings. Please contact me if you are interested in discussing details on an upcoming project you have.
Principles
Any webpage that is worth creating is worth creating properly the first time around. Therefore, all webpages should follow the guidelines set forth by the W3C.
Many CSS3 techniques are currently being implemented across the major web browsers. Some of these techniques are being utilized on this site and will degrade gracefully in older browsers.
The web should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, whatever those may be. Whenever possible, web pages should be created according to the WAI's WCAG.
